RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an RN for the Post Intensive Care Unit at Jersey City Medical Center in Jersey City, NJ. The role focuses on comprehensive nursing care, patient safety, and collaborative team-based decision making.

The RN will mediate between physicians and patients, ensuring accurate documentation, patient education, and smooth transitions of care, while pursuing ongoing professional growth within a highly collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing or Multistate RN License with NJ endorsement.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Administer safe, evidence-based medications and hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families to support informed care decisions.
• Document accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to improve communication and transitions.
