Job summary

NCH is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Women’s & Children’s Pavilion in Naples, FL, for a full-time temporary pool assignment. The role involves independent nursing care, patient assessments, and teaching with minimal supervision across pediatric and obstetric populations.

Requires FL RN/APRN license, BLS, NRP, STABLE, and PALS, plus familiarity with PowerChart, Infor, and Kronos systems. RN will provide direct patient care, document in EMR, and participate in quality improvement

Qualifications

• Licensed RN or APRN in Florida
• BLS Provider certification required
• NRP certification required within 90 days of hire
• STABLE certification required within 1 year of hire
• PALS certification required
• Cardiology certification within 60 days and updates annually (NICU)
• Moderate sedation education within 6 months and updates annually (NICU)
• Proficiency with PowerChart tracking shell and patient location/census systems
• Knowledge of fetal monitoring and obstetrical/neonatal nursing diagnoses
• Familiarity with Infor and Kronos systems and standard hospital policies

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to pediatric and obstetric patient populations
• Document clearly and consistently in the EMR
• Lead patient/family teaching using individualized methods
• Participate in care planning, unit committees, and quality improvement
• Maintain confidentiality and follow legal/regulatory requirements
• Coordinate patient care and communicate with multidisciplinary teams
• Administer medications safely according to dosage guidelines
• Ensure readiness of emergency equipment and supplies
• Complete care assignments efficiently and manage time effectively
• Support departmental operations within budget constraints

Education

Florida RN license (RN or APRN)

BLS Provider certification

NRP certification

STABLE certification

PALS certification

Cardiology certifications (NICU/obstetric context)
