Qualifications

• Associates degree in nursing or nursing diploma; BSN preferred.
• All certifications are required upon hire.
• RN license (single state) or RN-Compact required upon hire.
• Less than 1 year of direct patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs the Nursing Process (assessment; diagnosis; identification of outcomes; planning; implementation and evaluation) in the performance of clinical care using evidence-based practice; coordinates care.
• Provides relationship-based patient-centered care reflecting population-specific characteristics and cultural diversity.
• Partners with the patient and significant others using bedside shift reports, interdisciplinary rounds, and planned patient teaching to focus on patient goals.
• Practices using current clinical practice standards.
• Coordinates the delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care with inclusive interdisciplinary communication and documentation.
• Demonstrates teamwork and collaboration to promote fiscally responsible care and recruit/retain healthcare team members.
• Participates in performance improvement and shared governance to promote safe, quality care.
• Completes professional competency assessments and mandatory education.
• Serves as a preceptor/mentor to ensure a qualified workforce and a healthy work environment.
• Promotes evidence-based practice and nursing research; participates in value analysis and policy adherence.
