Job summary

Bayhealth Medical Center in Dover, DE is seeking an RN for part-time night shifts at the Kent Campus Hospital. You will provide direct patient care in the acute setting, develop care plans, educate patients and families, and administer medications with adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program/university.
• Current RN licensure; CPR/BLS required; ACLS/PALS may be required per manager's direction.
• Preferred: BSN or higher and relevant specialty experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, professional nursing care in acute care.
• Develop a patient-centered plan of care based on individual needs.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient medical records.
• Counsel and educate patients and care partners on treatment plans.
• Administer medications following the five rights of administration.
• Provide wound care and dressing changes when applicable.
• Read and interpret patient information to inform treatment decisions.
• Collaborate with physicians to decide on best treatments.
