Bayhealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Kent Campus, night shift, full-time. The role delivers direct, professional nursing care within an acute care unit and requires adherence to hospital policies and patient safety standards.

The ideal candidate has an Associate Degree in Nursing or a Nursing Diploma and holds RN licensure with BLS; ACLS/PALS may be needed per management. This position offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree Nursing Or Nursing Diploma.
• Credential(s): Registered Nurse; Basic Life Support; ACLS/PALS may be required per manager’s direction and timeframe.
• Experience: Required: Preferred: Experience in relevant specialty.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, professional nursing care to patients in the acute care setting.
• Develops a patient centered plan of care based on individualized needs.
• Maintain confidentiality of the patient medical record.
• Counsel and educate patients and their care partners on treatment plans.
• Administer medication following the five rights of medication administration.
• Provide wound care and dressing changes as applicable.
• Read and interpret patient information, making treatment decisions when appropriate.
• Consult with physicians to decide on best treatment decisions when appropriate.
• Perform nursing interventions to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Observe and record patient behavior and response to nursing interventions.
