Job summary

Bayhealth Medical Center in Delaware seeks a Registered Nurse for the Kent Campus. The night shift provides direct patient care, develops individualized care plans, administers medications, and ensures accurate documentation in the medical record.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree Nursing or Nursing Diploma.
• Credential(s): Registered Nurse, Basic Life Support; ACLS/PALS may be required per manager’s direction and timeframe.
• Experience: None Required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, professional nursing care to patients in the acute care setting.
• Develop a patient-centered plan of care based on individualized needs.
• Maintain confidentiality of the patient medical record.
• Counsel and educate patients on treatment plans.
• Administer medication following the five rights of medication administration.
• Provide wound care and dressing changes as applicable.
• Read and interpret patient information and make treatment decisions when appropriate.
• Document patient care accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with physicians to decide on best treatment decisions.
