Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO is seeking a full-time RN to provide patient care on a 36-hour workweek with a night shift (7:00pm–7:00am).

The role involves utilizing the nursing process and coordinating care with other departments while upholding patient rights and confidentiality. Qualified candidates will have at least 2 years of patient care experience, a current RN license (state or compact), and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum 2 years of patient care experience.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
