Job summary

Inova Fairfax Medical Campus in Falls Church, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Overflow Unit on the nights shift (7pm–7am). This full-time role offers a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance.

You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop care plans, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care across med/surg/telemetry, pulmonary, renal, and diabetes populations.

Qualifications

• BSN required; must obtain BSN within 5 years if starting with ADN.
• Active RN license in Virginia or multi-state license eligibility.
• current BLS certification required from AHA.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient health assessments and interpret data.
• Formulate individualized plans of care and monitor trends.
• Provide patient- and family-centered care across units.
• Advocate for patients’ rights and coordinate care transitions.
• Document care activities and maintain records per standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to improve outcomes.
• Communicate effectively and mentor junior staff.
• Utilize care pathways and quality improvement initiatives.
