Job summary

Fairview Health Services is seeking enthusiastic RNs for our Extended Recovery & Short Stay Unit at the Edina, Minnesota campus. This 32-bed unit handles a fast-paced mix of adults post-procedure and post-surgery with a focus on safe, timely patient care and strong teamwork.

The role involves night shifts (7pm–7:30am), with every third weekend on duty, serving on a collaborative team that prioritizes patient-centered care and clear communication with patients and families.

Qualifications

• MN RN license required.
• BLS certification required (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross).
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• 1 year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.
• Collaborates with patient, family and health team for an integrated care plan.
• Develops individualized care plans considering age, social/cultural factors.
• Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and outcomes.
• Communicates effectively with patient and health care team to promote partnership-based care.
• Advances care using evidence-based practice and care pathways.
• Supports a culture of continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes.
