Job summary

St. Mary Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the MS1D Oncology unit. This 16-bed Med/Surg oncology area operates on a 12-hour night shift (7pm-7:30am) and emphasizes direct and indirect patient care, with a focus on compassionate, evidence-based nursing.

nurses provide education, administer care, coordinate with the Interprofessional team, and ensure a safe, healing environment. The role requires a BSN, PA RN license and BLS, with chemo certification preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• PA RN License.
• AHA BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess learning needs and adapt education based on patient age, culture, and values.
• Document admissions, reassessments, plans, interventions and medications.
• Communicate patient information during rounds and transfers with the care team.
• Ensure infection control standards and maintain a safe, clean environment.
