Job summary

Banner Health in Sun City West, Arizona, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Observation Unit on a full-time night shift (7pm-7:30am). The 54-bed unit offers varied telemetry and post-test outcomes with opportunities for career advancement and self-scheduling.

Compensation includes night differentials, weekend differentials, and comprehensive benefits. The role requires an active RN license, BLS, and acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of practice; BLS certification required.
• Experience in acute care settings is preferred.
• Ability to work night shift.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs.
• Implement and coordinate nursing care per physician orders and the nursing plan of care.
• Evaluate patient progress towards goals and revise the plan as needed.
• Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team for patient care and discharge.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.
