Job summary

TriHealth Rehabilitation Hospital in Cincinnati, OH is seeking an experienced RN Nursing Supervisor to lead clinical teams overnight. This full-time role covers 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am and reports to the nurse management team.

You will administer and supervise patient care, ensure safety and infection control, and mentor staff during orientation while advancing performance through the clinical ladder and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Valid State RN license is required.
• BLS is required at hire.
• ACLS is required prior to completion of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Administer and supervise the clinical care being provided.
• Ensure safety, infection control, and quality of care on duty.
• Assist with performance appraisals and mentoring staff during orientation.
• Maximize management opportunities while on assigned shift.
• Effectively manage resources and promote a team atmosphere.
• Comply with educational requirements while promoting learning.
• Serve as a clinical resource for staff members.
• Implement the staffing plan for scheduled shift.
• Participate as a productive member of the interdisciplinary team.
• Interpret assessment/diagnostic data including labs.
• Ensure that medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Competence in Rapid Response and code events.
• Teach and counsel patients/families.
