Job summary

Laredo Medical Center is seeking an RN in the Nursery for night shifts to deliver patient-centered care in a busy maternal/newborn unit. You will coordinate care with obstetrics, pediatrics, and physicians, following established protocols and physician orders.

The RN will administer medications, monitor newborns and mothers, and educate families on care, safety, and discharge planning. Active RN license and BCLS are required; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience required.
• RN licensure in the US required.
• BCLS certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred.
• Ability to work night shift in nursery/OB unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care per clinical protocols.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to ensure effective care.
• Respond to medical emergencies and perform CPR/Code Team activities.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions.
• Document care accurately in medical records.
