Laredo Medical Center is hiring an RN for Labor & Delivery on night shifts. This role provides patient-centered obstetric care, from prenatal through postpartum, coordinating with physicians and the care team to ensure safe, effective outcomes.

Responsibilities include assessments, medication administration, and assisting during labor and delivery. The position emphasizes education for families and strict adherence to safety and infection control protocols.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in acute care.
• Current RN license for Texas or compact license.
• BCLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process and physician orders.
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status; respond to changes in condition.
• Assist with labor, delivery, and postpartum care; educate patients and families.
• Administer medications, monitor effects, and ensure safety protocols.
• Collaborate with the care team and participate in performance improvement.
