Job summary

Orlando Health is hiring for PCU, ED and ICU Nights. All positions are nights and you must have at least one year of experience in one of the listed units.

As a member of the corporate float pool, you will float to each adult in-patient unit within the system, across facilities such as Arnold Palmer Hospital and Orlando Regional Medical Center, among others. Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) or Diploma Nurse required.
• One year of acute care RN experience required.
• Maintains current State of Florida RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license.

Responsibilities

• Willing to work at any Orlando Health facility as determined by Corporate Staffing Office.
• Evaluate patient progress toward attaining expected outcomes.
• Respect diversity by building respectful relationships with all team members and customers.
• Advocate for patient and family as part of care delivery.
• Provide age-appropriate care across units with growth and development awareness.
• Document patient care including assessment, education, medication administration, treatments and safety.
• Demonstrate nursing skills with unit equipment per required skills.
• Prioritize patient care following Evidence-Based Practice Standards of Care.
• Communicate patient condition and unit concerns to health care team.
• Maintain a safe and caring environment for patients and families.
• Incorporate patient and family education throughout care.
• Participate in process improvement activities as assigned.
• Maintain awareness of legal issues, patient rights and regulatory compliance.
• Attend staff development sessions and department meetings.
• Collaborate with management to identify professional development needs.
• Serve on hospital/department/nursing committees as required.
