The Registered Nurse (RN) in the MSICU at Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, AZ provides patient-centered care in a 20-bed Medical-Surgical ICU alongside board-certified intensivists and a multidisciplinary team.

This role supports high-acuity patients, participates in life-saving interventions, ensures safety and education, and collaborates to achieve optimal outcomes in a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years in clinical nursing or student rotations in acute care.
• RN licensure required and state licensure compliant.
• BCLS; ACLS required as per unit guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process per policy and protocol.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and staff to develop and evaluate care plans.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in life-saving interventions (CPR, code team).
• Document care and patient education thoroughly in the medical record.
