Job summary

Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, AZ seeks a Night shift RN for the MSICU to join a collaborative ICU team delivering high-quality care to critically ill patients. You will work with intensivists, APNs, and a multidisciplinary team in a 20-bed MSICU.

The role emphasizes caring for complex cases, adherence to protocols, and ongoing professional development within a supportive environment and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required
• RN licensure in state of practice and BCLS/ACLS certified as applicable

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with policies and nursing process.
• Documents patient care thoroughly and promptly in the medical record with accurate charting.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects per standards of practice.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in CPR and code team activities.
• Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other professionals to implement care plans.
• Maintains infection control protocols and ensures a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Performs procedures and uses equipment such as ventilators and monitors as needed.
