Job summary
Wellington Regional Medical Center in Wellington, FL is seeking a Nurse (RN) for night shift. This full-time role offers a 36-hour work week, full benefits, and a night schedule with potential overtime and coverage of various shifts if interested.
Responsibilities include providing safe nursing care, leading the healthcare team, recognizing stroke signs, and supporting stroke care processes with the ICU team. Florida RN license and BLS/ACLS are required.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
- Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.
- BLS (current upon hire).
- ACLS and/or required specialty training or course completion (or obtained within three months of employment).
- Current Florida nursing license.
- Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
Responsibilities
- Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies and standards.
- Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
- Recognizes signs of stroke and calls a stroke alert; verbalizes stroke alert process.
- Assists ICU nurse with telemedicine consult and physician examinations.
- Assists with transport of inpatient stroke alert to/from CT scan.
- Maintains currency in stroke knowledge via annual 1 hour online training.
