Job summary

Wellington Regional Medical Center, a 235-bed acute care hospital in Wellington, FL, is seeking a Patient Care Technician/CNA to join our team. This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits, night shift options, overtime potential, and opportunities to cover multiple shifts as needed.

Responsibilities include performing patient care tasks, monitoring cardiac telemetry, receptionist duties, and cross-training to float as required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and have working knowledge of medical terminology
• Completion of formal training program for Certified Nursing Assistants; possesses state CNA Certification
• As of 8/1/2013, job requires a C.N.A. license in the state of Florida
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Possesses good communication skills in order to relate to customers
• Must be able to perform EKG’s
• Computer skills, order entry and ADT function

Responsibilities

• Performs various customer care activities and related services in the patient care area including monitoring and interpreting cardiac telemetry rhythm strips, receptionist and secretarial duties, and patient care tasks.
• Must be willing to cross train and float to meet the needs of the facility.
