Job summary
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical-Surgical Unit-II at Jersey City Medical Center. This per diem night shift role supports patient assessments, care plans, and coordination with medical staff in a fast-paced environment.
The RN will utilize EPIC, demonstrate strong clinical judgment, and provide compassionate patient education. NJ licensure and BLS are required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred, with ongoing opportunities for professional growth within RWJBarnabas
Qualifications
- Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license required
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification required
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes
- Administer medications and treatments per protocol
- Collaborate with physicians and care team for timely decisions
- Educate patients and families to support informed care
- Document accurately in the electronic medical record (EPIC)
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to ensure seamless care transitions
- Engage in a collaborative team environment to drive positive outcomes
- Pursue continuing education and professional growth opportunities
