Job summary

UC Health is seeking a Part‑Time Registered Nurse (RN) for the 4th floor Med Surg unit at West Chester Hospital for night shift. The RN will provide high‑quality care on a 36‑bed unit with 4–6 patients per nurse, supporting surgical and trauma patients in a fast‑paced Med Surg environment.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Associate’s Degree, minimum required; BSN preferred.
Current OH RN License and BLS certification (American Heart Association) current before end of orientation.

Responsibilities

Prepares, implements, evaluates, revises and coordinates interdisciplinary plan of care for each assigned patient with the healthcare team.
Communicates plan of care to all levels of staff involved in the patient’s care and sets priorities based on assessment.
Gives clear instructions to patients and families regarding treatment and ongoing care.
Identifies and responds to behavioral health or cultural needs affecting patient care.
Document nursing process accurately and in accordance with policy.
Acts as a mentor for new personnel and float staff on the unit.
Pursue personal professional development and support peers.
