Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Round Rock is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Acute Care Med Surg - 3West unit. The night shift supports 28 beds with telemetry and cardiac focus, delivering high-quality patient care.

You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, effective outcomes. Requires RN licensure and BLS; benefits include health coverage and PTO.

Qualifications

• RN degree from an accredited program.
• Specialized nursing field (acute care) preferred.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Monitor patients using telemetry and respond to changes in status.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to optimize outcomes.
• Document patient responses and adjust plans as needed.
• Ensure safety, infection control and medication administration per policy.
• Participate in care coordination and team communication to support patient needs.
