Job summary

Tenet Massachusetts in Framingham, MA is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) for Med Surg to join our Night shift team on an ongoing basis. This staff role emphasizes patient observation, safety, and collaboration with RN/LPN colleagues to support care plans.

The ideal candidate will be a licensed RN with high school diploma or GED and, for preferred consideration, enrollment in nursing school with first-year clinical rotation in progress.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Enrollment in professional nursing school with fundamentals of nursing preferred and currently in first year of clinical rotation.

Responsibilities

• Observe the patient and report observations to the RN/LPN to protect the patient from injury.
• Continuously monitor patients to ensure their safety and identify behaviors that may lead to self-harm or elopement.
• Observe and document patient behaviors, conditions, and changes and communicate observations to the RN/LPN.
• Provide one-to-one patient supervision as assigned to maintain a safe environment.
• Assist in preventing patient injury and elopement by following safety protocols and reporting risks.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to support patient care plans and ensure timely intervention when safety concerns arise.
