Job summary

Advocate Aurora Health in Highland, CA is seeking a registered nurse for 12-hour night shifts (7:00 pm–7:30 am) in the Med Surg unit. Full-time, 36 hours per week, with every third weekend and benefits.

You will apply the nursing process, support patient families, coordinate with the care team, and maintain safety and accurate EHR documentation. Requires RN license, BLS, and 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active registered nurse (RN) license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where providing client nursing services.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care with patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, updates care plans, and collaborates with the care team to improve outcomes.
• Upholds a culture of safety and maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per protocols and procedures.
