Job summary

Henry Ford Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for Med Surg in Grand Blanc, MI. The role engages in a fast-paced inpatient unit with chemo training after 6 months and opportunities in hospice care. Midnight shift, 3 twelve-hour shifts weekly, with every third weekend, and a focus on independent and collaborative nursing care.

You will provide delegated and independent nursing services, use the nursing process, and contribute to patient outcomes while maintaining compassion and cost-consciousness.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience; if Nurse Resident, residency requirements completed.
• Current RN licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Health care provider certification (BCLS).

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and their families.
• Effectively communicate pertinent patient/family information to the healthcare team.
• Participate in finding and implementing solutions for variances from patient goals.
