Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Med Surg in Grand Blanc, MI. This part-time day shift on a 55-bed inpatient oncology unit involves weekend coverage and bi-weekly 12-hour shifts, with chemo training after 6 months.

Vitals include IV skills and hospice care as part of a fast-paced inpatient setting. You will lead weekend nursing care, assess patients, plan and implement care, and collaborate with the team to ensure quality outcomes for our diverse patient population.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience; if Nurse Resident, all residency requirements must be completed including clinical requirements.
• Current RN licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Health care provider certification (BCLS).
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and their families.
• Effectively communicate pertinent patient/family information to the healthcare team.
• Participate in finding and implementing solutions for variances from patient goals.
