Job summary

WellSpan Health is seeking Registered Nurse candidates for Med/Surg Units on the night shift at Gettysburg Hospital. This 0.9 FTE position offers Full Time scheduling with nights and every third weekend, in a Level IV Trauma Center setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active RN license and BLS certification.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required or in progress as applicable.
• Graduate Nurse applications accepted for consideration at this level.
• Med/Surg experience or training is preferred, especially in a Level IV Trauma Center.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on Med/Surg units per hospital standards.
• Safely administer prescribed medications and nursing interventions.
• Coordinate care planning with the interdisciplinary team and document progress.
• Monitor patient status, identify changes, and respond promptly to needs.
• Support night shift operations, patient throughput, and handoffs during transitions.
• Assist with discharge planning and patient/family education.
