Job summary

The Allegheny Health Network unit 8C Surgical Trauma is seeking a registered nurse for the full-time night shift (7pm–7am) with rotating weekends/holidays. The role focuses on telemetry, post-trauma and complex surgical care under the Highmark Health umbrella.

Ideal candidates will have PA RN licensure (or multi-state eNLC), CPR, and at least one year of RN experience, with union benefits and commitment to patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Current State of PA RN licensure OR current multi-state licensure through eNLC.
• CPR certification.
• Minimum one year RN experience.
• 1st preference to employee on current night schedule on unit.
• 2nd preference to employee on current unit.

Responsibilities

• Responsible and accountable for a designated patient population using the nursing process.
• Demonstrates clinical assessment and care planning skills.
• Provides safe, effective care for age populations per regulatory requirements.
• Directs and manages patient care delivery with the team.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team from admission to discharge.
