Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Full Time Night shift (7:00pm–7:00am) with rotating weekends. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, collaborate with the care team, and follow established nursing models to ensure excellent patient experiences and outcomes.

The role requires nursing accreditation, TX license (or compact), BLS, and preferably 1 year of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing.
• Associate's Degree okay to start; Bachelor’s within 24 months of hire into RN position.
• Current RN license in TX or compact license.
• Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
• 1 year acute care experience in area/unit highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each shift, promptly identifying changes in patient status.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor therapeutic response, documenting care in the medical record.
• Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and anticipating needs.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures.
