Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center in the Dallas area seeks a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care during a 7pm–7am shift. You will perform assessments, planning, implementation and evaluation using the nursing process to support patient needs.

Responsibilities include patient education, safe medication administration, and collaboration with the care team. A Texas RN license or eligibility and BLS are required; six months RN experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so.
• Work experience: Six months RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment using communication and teamwork.
• Assumes responsibility for nursing components of patient/family education.
• Communicates with team, patients, and families and evaluates understanding of information.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment and ensures accurate and timely documentation.
• Administers medications and IV therapy safely and timely.
• Takes initiative for performance and professional growth.
• Uses the nursing process to ensure quality care throughout the episode of care.
• Other duties as assigned.
