Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shift in Lenexa, Kansas. This full-time position requires an RN license, an Associate degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred), and 1+ year of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required.
• Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred.
• 1+ year of acute care hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care; revise as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments safely per physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information and interventions in the medical record.
• Evaluate care plan effectiveness and adjust to improve outcomes.
• Ensure infection control and safety protocol compliance.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate care responsibilities within the team.
• Engage in professional development and performance improvement activities.
• Respond to code situations promptly to stabilize patients.
