Job summary

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission in Kansas seeks a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care in a hospital setting. You will assess, plan, administer medications, educate patients, and collaborate with the healthcare team while adhering to safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• RN with active state license and BLS CPR certification.
• Experience in acute care hospital settings preferred.
• Fluent in English with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate physiological, psychological, development, sociocultural, spiritual factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and regularly revise them.
• Administer medications and treatments safely per physician orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Coordinate with medical staff to optimize patient care and ensure clear communication.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record.
• Evaluate care plan effectiveness and adjust to improve outcomes.
• Ensure infection control and safety standards are followed.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate care as needed to team members.
