Job summary

Novant Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg unit in Wilmington, NC. You will provide compassionate, patient-centered care to adults with a range of medical and surgical conditions, while building care plans and coordinating with the interdisciplinary team.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, NC RN licensure, BLS, and at least 1 year of acute care experience. Full-time hours include day/evening shifts with a focus on safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Current North Carolina nursing license.
• BLS certification required (American Red Cross or American Heart Association).
• At least 1 year of acute nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care to adults with medical/surgical conditions.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient status.
• Prioritize care and manage multiple patients in a fast-paced unit.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interprofessional team.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and discharge plans.
• Uphold safety and evidence-based practices per hospital policies.
