Job summary

Novant Health in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg team. You will provide compassionate, patient-centered care to adults with a variety of medical and surgical conditions, coordinating with an interdisciplinary team to achieve exceptional outcomes.

The role emphasizes evidence-based practice and patient education for diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge plans, with a full-time daytime schedule (7 a.m. - 7 p.m.) and day-one benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; current RN licensure in NC required.
• 1 year of relevant nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to adult patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, develop individualized plans of care, and monitor patient progress.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions while assessing and responding to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other team members to coordinate care and support positive patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge plans.
• Promote a safe environment while following hospital policies and patient safety standards.
