Job summary

Riverside Health System in Newport News, Virginia seeks an RN to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate total nursing care for assigned patients. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality, evidence-based care and guide non-professional staff under nurse supervision.

Must demonstrate competence in age-related patient needs and adapt education to patient/family. Weekend and irregular shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to assess patient needs and develop care plans.
• Competence in nursing standards of practice.
• Experience with interdisciplinary team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient clinical and psychosocial needs.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate a care plan with patients and families.
• Coordinate treatments and procedures to achieve outcomes.
• Facilitate safe patient transitions to higher levels of care.
• Document per RHS standards and regulatory requirements.
