Job summary

Riverside Health System in Newport News, Virginia seeks a Registered Nurse for full-time night shifts (7pm-7am). Paid in the $36.50–$50.23 hourly range, with bonuses for experienced and new graduate RNs.

The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate total nursing care, supervised by the Nurse Manager and Director, within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include creating individualized care plans, coordinating with patients and families, and ensuring documentation meets RHS

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Virginia or compact state.
• CPR/BLS certification required upon hire.
• Education pathways: Bachelor's, Associate, or Nursing Diploma accepted with required credentials.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient clinical and psychosocial needs using standards of practice for the specialty.
• Collaborate with patients and families to develop, implement and evaluate a care plan.
• Ensure safe patient transitions and ethical care through care coordination.
• Provide education to patients/families and evaluate comprehension.
• Complete clinical and quality documentation per RHS standards and regulatory requirements.
• Delegate and prioritize tasks to ensure high-quality patient care and respond to emergencies.
