Job summary

Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital in Mooresville, NC is seeking an Experienced Registered Nurse for Med Surg nights to provide skilled nursing care aligned with physician orders and hospital policies. You will lead a care team, document care, and monitor patient progress while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Applicants should hold an ADN or Nursing Diploma, have NC RN licensure with BLS, and possess at least 12 months of relevant clinical experience, with a commitment to ongoing

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited ADN or Nursing Diploma program.
• Twelve months of clinical experience required.
• Current NC RN licensure; BLS required.
• Pre-employment Physical Capacity Testing may be required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care per orders and policies.
• Delegate tasks and supervise licensed and unlicensed staff; act as team leader.
• Monitor environment of care and ensure safety; support ongoing professional development.
• Identify improvement opportunities and participate in performance initiatives.
• Maintain nursing competencies and contribute to patient/family education.
