Job summary

Sanford Health, the nation’s largest rural health system, seeks a Registered Nurse to provide dedicated nursing care for residents in a long-term care setting. The RN will use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care in collaboration with residents, families and a multidisciplinary team.

The role includes night shifts (6pm–6am) with rotating weekends/holidays. It emphasizes adherence to professional standards and offers shift differentials for night and weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program (CCNE/ACEN/NLN CNEA).
• Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license in the state of practice; multistate licensure if in an NLC state.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care to residents using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Coordinate care, resident assessment, education and various nursing interventions.
• Serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to license and unlicensed personnel as appropriate.
• Adhere to Nurse Practice Act and professional codes of ethics.
