Job summary

Cedar Crest Village by Erickson Senior Living in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, is seeking full-time RN or LPN for night shifts on a 2-week rotating schedule (11:00 PM–7:30 AM). The role emphasizes resident-centered care and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

You will perform clinical duties, establish care goals with residents and families, monitor status changes, administer medications, and maintain infection prevention practices.

Qualifications

• Must have an active RN license in the state they will practice.
• Must have a graduate from an accredited Registered Nurse program.
• Minimum 6 months experience as an RN.
• CPR certification required.
• LPN license holders may apply if qualified.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with residents and families using a consistent caregiver approach, supporting the resident’s physical, spiritual, emotional, and clinical needs, and focusing on placing the resident first.
• Perform clinical duties in accordance with the state nurse practice act and nursing standards of practice.
• Promote resident’s independence by establishing resident care goals, teaching resident/family members to understand a resident’s condition, medication, and self-care skills.
• Monitor a resident’s clinical and care conditions to identify changes and take action to ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Work with care associates to perform routine nursing care for assigned residents.
• Maintain infection prevention practices, administer medications, and perform treatments per orders.
• Develop and coordinate a holistic plan of care with the team to meet the resident’s clinical and care needs.
• Support residents’ preferences in the EMR and ensure documentation is current and timely.
• Participate in care conferences for designated residents as requested by Clinical Manager.

Education
