Job summary

St. Tammany Health System in Covington, LA is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Night Shift (7pm–7am) to coordinate care for Labor, Antenatal and Post-Partum patients. The role includes supervising LPNs, UAs, and CNAs, ensuring nursing standards, and following hospital policies.

Minimum qualifications include LA RN licensure, board-certified nursing, and BLS on hire; ALS/NRP preferred and to be obtained within 3 months. Must meet physical demands and job requirements.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed Board Certified Registered Nursing Program.
• One (1) year labor experience required.
• Current LA RN licensure.
• BLS required on hire. ALS and NRP preferred on hire, required within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical activities for Laboring, Antenatal and Post-Partum (couplet) patients.
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Assistants and Certified Nursing Assistants.
• Comply with hospital policies and nursing standards; support department and hospital goals.
