Job summary

Baptist Health Care in Pensacola, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the LDRP (Labor, Delivery, and Postpartum) unit for night shifts. You will provide individualized nursing care, educate patients and families, and coordinate with the care team to ensure a safe birth experience.

The role requires Florida RN licensure or compact state eligibility, BLS and ACLS upon hire, and NRP within 90 days. You will document care thoroughly and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma/Certificate in Nursing or an Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Active Registered Nurse license in Florida or eligible for a compact state upon hire.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required upon hire.
• ACLS Provider certification required within 90 days; Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assess, identify, and prioritize patient and family needs; plan care with your team.
• Safely deliver medications and treatments; monitor responses and document outcomes.
• Perform continuous patient assessment and communicate changes for prompt decisions.
• Maintain accurate, timely nursing documentation of care.
• Collaborate with the department to meet goals and maintain competencies.
• Maintain licensure, certifications, and ongoing education as required.
• Assess and monitor mother and fetus during labor; provide comfort measures.
• Support intrapartum and postpartum care including fetal demise situations.
