Job summary
Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery RN to join our LDRP team at Baptist Medical Center South. This full-time night position focuses on providing nursing care across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum settings, including mother/baby couplets, with patient advocacy and evidence-based practice.
The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of medical-surgical nursing with L&D, newborn nursery, and mother/baby experience.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience.
- Labor and Delivery Experience.
- Newborn Nursery Experience.
- Mother/Baby Nursing Experience.
- Licensed Registered Nurse required.
- Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) are required; ACLS, NRP, and RNC EFM are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide for patient needs as recognized through the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
- Organize and supervise care provided by supportive personnel.
- Coordinate care provided by ancillary services.
- Include patients and families in developing an individualized plan of care.
- Serve as patient advocate and provide nursing care in newborn nursery and postpartum units.
