Job summary

Baylor Scott and White Medical Center - Grapevine is seeking a Registered Nurse for Labor & Delivery to provide patient care in a high-acuity environment with 1:1 to 1:4 ratios depending on the stage.

The unit emphasizes learning, mentoring, Magnet recognition, and strong OB/ED collaboration, with 24/7 OB hospitalist and anesthesia support. Night shifts require living within 1 hour of the hospital.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of start.
• Experience in labor and delivery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient care using a professional practice model.
• Assess patients, create and adjust care plans, document learning needs.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on care plans and health needs.
• Coordinate with OB hospitalists and anesthesia for 24/7 coverage.
• Ensure safety and quality in delivery care and teamwork.
