Job summary

SGMC Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Labor and Delivery department on the Main Campus. The role involves direct patient care, procedural support, and coordination with physicians to implement care plans for diverse patient groups.

Ideal candidates hold GA RN licensure, CPR and NRP certifications, and have fetal monitoring training. Night shift is 7p–7a; opportunities for growth and ongoing training are offered.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Georgia.
• CPR certification required; NRP certification required (within 1 year).
• Basic/Intermediate/Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications required within stated time frames.
• Bereavement and breastfeeding certifications preferred when available.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care via nursing process for all age groups on the unit.
• Performs and assists with procedures; documents care provided.
• Coordinates plan of care with physicians and other disciplines.
• Maintains SGMC Health mission, values, and policies in daily practice.
• Demonstrates teamwork and supports staff development.
