Job summary

The Good Samaritan Medical Center is seeking a Maternity Registered Nurse to provide care for newborns to adults in Labor & Delivery, with emphasis on compassionate, evidence-based practice.

This night-shift role (11p-7a) requires ASN/BSN preferred, MA RN license, BLS/ACLS/NRP, and labor & delivery experience; schedule includes every other weekend; benefits eligible; strong assessment, teaching, and teamwork skills required.

Qualifications

• Excellent assessment, clinical, and organizational skills.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to manage charge responsibilities.
• RN licensure in MA and relevant obstetric certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care from infant to elderly with individualized needs.
• Maintain competency in Labor & Delivery procedures and obstetric support.
• Delegate nursing tasks appropriately while maintaining responsibility for patient outcomes.
• Lift, transfer and move patients; ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Communicate effectively in English, document accurately, and collaborate with the team.
