Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates severity of illness for admissions to determine level of patient care.
• Reviews physician orders for clinical appropriateness and admission status.
• Coordinates education and development of internal staff and external departments for intake review/approval.
• Conducts complex clinical review for inpatient, outpatient, and ancillary services requests for medical necessity.
• Applies evidence-based practice to nursing care as described in the department scope of service.
