Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time Inpatient Rehabilitation unit. This 20-bed unit operates 12-hour night shifts with every-other-weekend rotation, offering a self-scheduling culture and interdisciplinary teamwork.

You’ll deliver comprehensive nursing care, document care, and collaborate with therapists and physicians to restore independence and ensure safe discharge.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license or compact license.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• One year of RN experience preferred, rehabilitation setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform plan of care interventions including medication administration and clinical treatments.
• Document patient care accurately in the record.
• Monitor patient condition and communicate with care team, patient, and family.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Coordinate patient transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial needs.
• Evaluate learning needs of patient/family and provide education.
• Advocate for patients' physical and emotional well-being.
