Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our 20-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation unit in Hickory. This full-time role features 3x12-hour night shifts, a commitment-incentive bonus, and a focus on collaborative, interdisciplinary care to restore patient independence.

Under RN supervision, you will provide direct care, assist in assessments, and support the care plan while maintaining documentation and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina LPN license (single-state) or compact required; if relocating, licensure must be updated to the new PSOR before employment begins.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• One year of experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision and delegated by a registered nurse.
• Assist in patient assessment data collection for RN analysis.
• Perform plan of care interventions including wound care and specimen collection.
• May administer medications as directed.
• Document patient care accurately and timely.
• Assist RN with development of the plan of care.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Monitor and communicate patient status and intervention responses to the team.
