Stamford Health is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Medicine Unit on the night shift. The role involves 3 thirteen-hour shifts, from 7pm to 8am, with rotating weekends and holidays, providing direct patient care using the Nursing Process.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Valid license as Registered Nurse in Connecticut.
• BSN strongly preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Maintain a minimum of 6 contact hours annually.
• Minimum of 2 years previous experience in a similar position.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the Nursing Process and following established standards of practice within State and Federal guidelines.
• Provide supervision of non-RN personnel and act as a resource for ancillary staff on assigned unit.
• Supervise unit activities when assigned to charge or clinical coordinator role.
• Act as preceptor to new staff and/or students as requested.
• Provide safe and therapeutic care using the values inherent in Stamford Health’s culture.
• Communicate effectively with all members of the health care team and related departments.
