Job summary

Stamford Health is seeking a Fulltime RN for the Inpatient Medicine Unit on the Day SHIFT. The position covers three 13-hour days from 7am to 8pm with rotating weekends and holidays, located in Stamford, CT.

The role emphasizes compassionate, person-centered care consistent with Planetree and Great Place to Work accolades. Applicants should be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold a CT RN license (BSN preferred) and BLS; at least 2 years of related experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Valid CT RN license.
• BSN strongly preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Maintain a minimum of 6 contact hours annually.
• Minimum of 2 years previous experience in a similar position.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the Nursing Process and follow standards of practice within State and Federal guidelines.
• Provides direct patient care to a select group of patients and advocates on their behalf.
• Assesses patient’s physical and psychosocial condition throughout the continuum of care.
• Develops and communicates patient plan of care reflecting issues and proposed interventions.
• Collaborates with patient, family and healthcare team in implementing plan of care.
• Coordinates and leads groups and documents daily notes; completes activity assessments when needed.
• Provides education as indicated after assessing learning needs of patient and family.
• Communicates effectively with all members of the health care team.
• Maintains professional relationships and adheres to policies and code of conduct.
• Respects patient rights to confidentiality and privacy; adheres to safety standards during medications and treatments.
